.carly’s belly.

This was one of my favorite shoots ever. I think I spent almost 3 hours with Carly and her husband and got some of my favorite maternity images. Carly is so incredibly photogenic and comfortable in front of the camera and really, really made it easy for me to be creative. It’s always a challenge to arrive at someone’s house that you dont know and have to roam around their house finding places to shoot. =) Carly was rockin’ some serious heels and I was so excited to photograph her & her husband. Carly thank you so much for allowing me to share some of your intimate images, I had a really hard time picking favorites to share!

New website is live!

I have been really, really excited to launch my new website and it is finally live. This website features some of MY favorite recent work and what I think are some of the most fun and real moments that I have captured. I cannot part with my other website and my older images so it will stay live for awhile.

I have to thank all of my wonderful clients that I have had the honest pleasure of photographing. The relationships that have been built & the trust you have given me is the reason I am able to capture my images. Thank you so much for sharing yourselves with me.

Holy cow, the wedding that will always be a story to tell. For me, it just wasn’t the day, it was the couple as well. Some people might remember what they were doing on Saturday, June 21st when a huge storm came out of nowhere and blasted the Tri-Cities with HUGE gusts of wind, rain & thunder/lightning. We were on top of Thompson Hill at 360 Cellars enjoying gorgeous weather that would soon turn awful.

First of all, I had a first. I was able to go up into a helicopter to take some shots which was freaking crazy cool. I have to admit I was nervous, being afraid of heights and all, but it was a really cool experience and I feel lucky to have been able to do it. I love the shots I got and I am really grateful after the fact to have the pictures for the couple to have of what everything looked like before the storm hit. Enough about me. Like I said, we had a great day for pictures and I really enjoyed shooting at this new facility. The view is insane and the grounds are gorgeous. We got through all of the pictures beforehand and we waiting for the guests to get seated for the ceremony. That is when the sky in the distance turned gray, and freaky gray, seriously. People were getting phone calls that a major storm had just hit and was coming our way. Once the ceremony started the thunder roared. By the time April made it down the aisle with her dad the wind had blown over one of the gorgeous potted flower arrangements at their alter. All I could hear was the crashing and breaking of glass from the reception area and voices of people in a panic trying to get the tents under control. Then, ugh, the rain came. Not just sprinkling, it was freaking poring. Guests started to bail out of their seats for shelter. However, Cameron and April stood in the POURING DOWN RAIN and said their vows that they wrote to each other. When I look at some of their pictures from the ceremony I want to cry. How they held it together, I have no idea. The amazing details of their reception would never be seen by their guests, the band never played and everyone was crammed inside the house sopping wet.

To make a long story short, the storm blew over after awhile and everyone went back outside to enjoy themselves. People were laughing, drinking and were happy to share the day with them. I never imagined I would witness such a heartbreaking experience for a couple at their wedding. I have so much respect for April & Cameron and how they went through the day with smiles on their faces. I am completely honored to have been able to photograph them, document their day and capture their love through all the chaos. Congratulations April & Cameron, you are seriously amazing people and I am so happy to know you. =)

First off – The view from my awesome helicopter ride(thank you Loren!), 360 Cellars.

April’s gorgeous and totally unique dress.

Flip flops on the flower girls…it doesn’t get any cuter than that!

April’s sister helping her with the final touches.

April & Cameron’s first look.

Cameron looking incredibly hot…

and April looking the same!

I didn’t mean for Cameron to be in the background for the shot, but I threw him in once and it ended up being a favorite.

The wedding party was totally stylin’ and fun to hand out with.

Cameron with his boys. I love the brown suits!

I promise the girls liked me. =) Aren’t they bad-ass gorgeous?

It’s obvious at all times how much Cameron adores April.

A couple details of the reception area before the storm came. Fabulous.

These twins were adorable

Even though thunder was roaring at THIS VERY MOMENT, April happily meets up with her Dad.

Notice the floral arrangement had blown over

Are you kidding me?

A favorite of mine

Married!…with the video guy in my shot! =)

Cameron’s mom – soaked, smiling and still beautiful.

The gorgeous cake was saved with minimal damage. Another amazing creation from Cakes Be We.

Drink in hand, their entrance back outside to the reception

Kids played…

Wet, flat hair – everyone had a good time regardless!

The speeches were hilarious. At one point the DJ had to cut off a talker. =)

They decided to say their vows to each other again so we all could hear this time. =)

Unfortunately it started to rain again during their first dance. So everyone just moved under the tents…

and they continued their dance there!

Then the party really started!
