Whew - this shoot was HOT! Kim & Jesse’s chemistry is insane. I think some guests in the Davenport Hotel on Saturday needed a cold shower after watching these two in the lobby…and elevator…and other places. There was some excitement when part of the ceiling caved in from heavy snow on top of it, but no one was hurt and the party went on. I had to share this image as I was looking through them real quick. Too many weddings to blog!!!!!
Keeping with the trend of being a bad blogger, I thought that I would post some images from an engagement shoot I did a few months ago…because they are getting married on SATURDAY. I was so excited when Kim contacted me this summer to photograph her wedding at the Davenport Hotel in Spokane. The hotel is, holy cow, amazingly beautiful. Speaking of amazingly beautiful - I had such a fun time hanging out with Kim & Jesse for their e-shoot. We met up in Seattle in the U District and walked to campus where they had gone to school together, then over to Gasworks. Doesn’t Kim look like Donna from That 70’s Show???? =) I can’t wait for Saturday!
I didn’t realize that my favorite Thai joint from back in the day was behind them in the shot until I looked at them at home. Too funny.
I love doing engagement shoots in areas that have meaning to a couple.
This bench & building behind them is where they spent a lot of time together in school…now they’re getting married. How cool is that?

I just wanted to give a shot out to my girl Chelee, otherwise known as Michelle Ellis. I can’t believe it has been almost a year since she second shot her first wedding with me. Her business was just getting off the ground and watching it completely take off this year has been amazing to witness. People always think there should be some sort of competition between photographers, but I honestly dont view it that way. We are all artists, and what we deliver is a reflection of our art, our vision, and there is no need for competitiveness. What I do in the field of photography is for the true love of imagery, the passion for the outcome, and the absolute honor to document life & emotion. I know that Chelee feels the same way and I respect that immensely. Up until meeting Chelee I had no one to genuinely share my passion with. We could talk forever about this, that & whatever. Geek talk about our gear, techie stuff, yadda yadda. Love it. If I need advice - Chelee, if I need a smack across the face for being cranky - Chelee, or that well needed boost of confidence that you need every once in awhile - Chelee. If you have not checked out her work you absolutely should. Her vision is totally insane and her composition is inspiring.
Chelee - Thank you so much for your hard work and devotion to my business this year. You brought so much to the table and added SO many amazing images for my wedding clients. I’m totally excited to see what 2009 brings for you. Dont forget about me when you are an international superstar. =) ha!

She always took pictures of me shooting which were fun to see, but usually embarrassing to look at. This is one of my favorites pictures she got of me. I love the story telling. The following is the one of the images I got from that setting.

I was working on this image for an order and I just had to share my gorgeous bride Tiffany. She is stunning! I absolutely love the simplicity of the flower in her hair and then the veil for the ceremony. Bring on the feathers ladies! =)
OK. So. It has been MONTHS since I have blogged an entire wedding because of my blog break I was taking. I probably wouldn’t be posting this if I hadn’t been pulling images for the uber talented Connie Lilly of Twigs and Petals. Connie did an a-maz-ing job, as usual, on this wedding. The decor at the church was unbelievable and her bouquets are always breathtaking & original. I had to post a lot of pictures, I couldn’t help it. So - Twigs & Petals = FABULOUS!
Now to Andrea & Brian who were married back in July. Their wedding party picture has been gracing the top of my blog. I just love that picture! I was so honored to photograph this wedding.I was surrounded by such fun spirited people the entire day. Everyone involved or invited to this event was wonderful and a complete blast to photograph. Nancy I wont go into our little “saying” on how to get you to smile. That was hilarious. =) Congrats Andrea & Brian - thank you for letting me hang out with you on your special day.
